i ran away thrice. when i was 14 i was sent out of the house. i came to live with my grandmother next door. i was having a hard time adjusting to my father who comes home annually and stays with us for a month eversince i was 5 years old.
the next time i ran away was when my family wouldn't let me be a disc jockey. i was 20. in the philippines you still get to stay with your parents even at that age.
the last one i ran away was when i was 27 and eloped. my father wants me to wait for him to retire before i get married. i'd be 30 years old. i was like, duh? i don't plan to be a mother once i get married. i want to be a wife first. that means i would be quite old when i become a mother. i want to lessen the risk of down syndrome for my child.

I never ran away. I thought about it but really, as a kid how far could you really get? And, if you make the threat, they're always watching you like a hawk anyway to see what you do. I wasn't close enough to anyone or felt safe going to anyone elses house for the time being so I just stayed at home like a good kid and hated people until I got over it.

Oh, that's pretty sad.
Well, I've always wanted to run away from home every time I was scolded by my parents. I'd secretly pack my bags, then I chicken out when I realize I have nowhere to go and ask myself where will I eat? So, I unpack my things and just shut up for a while.

I think every one has done a little run away from home esp when they are in their childhood.
I have never actually run away or some sorts but I remember when I was kid and feeling angry because I cant do things that I wanted... sometimes I will go to my neighbour house and stayed there for a few hours...
At that time I wonder why my mom didnt come looking for me straight away, but now I realize that she must have known where I was and must have contacted my friend's mom and decided to let me have a few hours to calm my self down...

I did, when I was about thirteen. I got to a few towns over, by bike, and was gone for about a week or two before they found me.
It sucked for a while, but it was EXCITING!
