On how to get people to join my new forum? I worked so hard on it, and I would really love if people would join! I posted a discussion but it got deleted, I think just because I posted the link to my forum, so if you are willing to join go to my profile and click on the first link on the sortie where it says my forum, and give me suggestions on how to get more people to join! Please.
You can share all your referral links and advertise whatever you want in my forum, thanks!! I look forward to seeing you there!!

If it's a 'free' forum you won't get much traffic unless it's an interesting topic. General chit-chat might not work. Perhaps a blog where people can leave feedback might be a way forward? You could use SEO to direct traffic to your blog and gradually introduce the idea of a forum to your regular posters.

I tend to sign up to anything and everything. It's just that people here never ask me (sob) What is it? My feet? My armpits? Is it the hairs in my nose turning people off ...?

Hi x0xpinkyx0x. I think you should join other forums ( that related to your forum ) and be active. Don't ever spamming the forum with your link or affiliate link. Put a signature of you site/forum url on the forum. I think this is how you can get others to join your forum. Send me message if you need help. :)

I don't have an idea too, maybe some topic that will be common to all so that they can participate. I don't include referral links because it is against the rule here on Mylot.
When i do start a conversation, i post things that my mind may think of, not because i wanted to attract more people, but to just give out a question that people may share their ideas and all. Although most of my topics are not that super magnetic to members, it is just fine because i find hard time to respond to all and give then comments about what they ask me.

It was not a referral link, it's just a link to my forum, mylot had no reason to remove it. And it's a food forum, a lot of people are interested in this topic. And the last lines you wrote made no sense to me... was it just to make the response longer?

Well I think the major factor or the key to have more people on your forum site is to tell them that you will pay them in every post that they will make. Because you know nowadays you will only get people's attention if there is a money involved. For instance is this forum site mylot. This site have lots of member because it pays and it is a legit one. Aside from the knowledge that we can get here is we ca also earn some money.
