I feel it's very hard to find a job right now here in this city,I feel oppressed because I planed to hunt find a better job at the beginning of this year, but till now, nothing's done.the open positions on the recruiting websites are less now,and most of the companies there are just for advertisement, you sent resume but never get a response.is the situation similiar in your city/coutry?

Yeah same here. Every one is affected by global crisis. Many companies here are firing employees rather than hiring. And nowadays it's not easy to find a job specially if you are not educated. Even if you are applying for a janitor you need to be a college graduate before you qualified. I will be graduating this month and I am hopefully praying to get a job in a very easy way, well anything is possible right?

I noticed that many people won't able to find a full - time employment recently. Most of the positions are open for temporary only. So, I guess that is same everywhere. If you really need a job, you might consider different cities. I heard that Alaska is hiring for oil companies, they might have promising positions available.

It's very hard to get a decent job here in the Philippines right now. I'm pretty lucky that I came from a good school that I was able to get one right after graduation. However, I do have a friend who also came from a reputable school, however, everyone keeps on asking for applicants with experience... so she's settling with underemployment for a couple of years :)
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Harder than ever. So the recent graduates are adjusting their anticipation in selection and pay. The government is also doing a lot to assist in some cities. Enterprises open probational positions for students. And recent graduates are encouraged to start self own business free of charge, and on preferential terms.
Job is reward to family and society, is is a symbol of dignaty. Some are competing with the country farmers looking for jobs in cities. Start from taxi driver, or KFC assistance are also considered.

Where I live right now it is nearly impossible to find a job. I have looked EVERYWHERE for a good part time job to cover schooling, but there is nothing available. I am hoping that things will change as soon as possible, but I am not sure as of now!
