I am a 42 year old married male from the USA, in the state of Ohio, seeking some friends from the globe for positive communications about life in general and to be there when you just need someone to talk to when life gets you down. I am an American, yes, but I care about all people, everywhere. We all were created equal, and I believe everyone should be treated as such. I just am desiring to meet people in general and have a rewarding relationship.

such a nice attitude you have there. let me add you then. anyway, you'll definitely meet a lot of people here in mylot (virtually meet of course) of all backgrounds and races. i usually write here whenever i have some free time to kill, or whenever the weather is just too crazy to go out. i love the outdoors but indoors could be fun too as long as you have these virtual people to talk to. takes away my boredom all the time.

I can agree with that wholeheartedly, I am looking forward to spring and getting outside more, winter here in Ohio has been crazy this year it seems, freezing rain one day, 70's the next day. I hope to take my son to a local bike trail here in town once the weather stays consistent. I am looking forward to conversing with you as well. I think it will be good to meet others from different races and backgrounds.

I think this is the perfect place for friendship - but maybe some of the social networking sites like MySpace are better as you can use webcams, live chat etc. My daughter met a lot of people via, of all things, Neopets (don't ask!) She chats to a musician in New York and they exchange 'snail mail' letters. He's been to the UK and she's saving up to go to the US. Nothing in it, they're 'just good friends.'
Anyhow, I'll be your friend. You sound like a listener, like me!

I try my best to be a good listener, I also believe that people cannot have enough good friends. I just got home from work a couple hours I have to finish my split shift. I hope you have a good day and we will talk soon. Is there any way myLot tells you if your friends are online?

Not that I can see - all you get is a message telling you when your friends have posted a new comment. But a lot of people here also chat elsewhere. Best thing is to PM people on your friends list and interact via MSN or similar. I've yet to work out how to use those sites - bit of a dinosaur, me! It's great that places like this allow people from all over the world to interact this way though. I was amazed to find some members practically on my doorstep!

Yes I believe and Jesus and born again back in 1992, however I have kind of gone backwards in my relationship with him these last 5 years or so. Do not really know how it started, but I think money played a big part in it. I know that we are not to be wordly, and I think that is where I have a weakness. Maybe He arranged this so I could have a good Christian friend who can be encouragement to me. I would like to travel around, but it will have to be after the economy straightens out. My wife and I both work full-time and it takes both incomes to keep up on bills, etc. Is your country affected by this recession that seems to be global, seems like even countries like China and Japan are both hard hit as well.

Hi Peter, it is good to meet you, I am Douglas, how are you doing in Kenya? What is your weather like this time of year? What is your family like? Are you married? Kids? I am married since 1999 and my wife and I had adopted 3 kids since 2000. Our oldest is 21 and he is out on his own, our other son just turned 8 last December, and our daughter just turned 5. Our daughter has an African American background and we just love her so much, we are looking for ways to incorporate some of her background into our family life, such as traditions, so it would be great if you could share some ideas such as holidays to celebrate with her, music, things of that nature. We used to be foster parents and then adopted them shortly afterwards.
