Does Chris Brown deserve another chance?

Oprah on her show advised Rihanna against getting back to Chris Brown. She said "If he hurt you once, he will hurt you again. He will hurt you again." It's sad that some people see Chris Brown as that type of person who physically assault women like what he did to Rihanna. But it's true anyway, ain't it? That it's difficult to trust someone after he did something so terrible.

Everybody deserves a second chance. But when someone does something sooo terrible like almost killing another person, you don't give him another chance until he has learned his lesson and pay for his mistakes. As for Chris Brown, he needs some serious rehabilitation for what he did. He needs help and so does Rihanna.

What Chris Brown did to Rihanna was unforgivable. Although I do believe that some people can get help with anger management, I think you have to seriously look at the damage done to the victim in all of this. It wasn't just a small slap, he beat the crap out of her and shouldn't be given a second chance. If she does decide to take him back she should make sure he undergoes anger management first.

Chris Brown should SMACK Oprah around.
Oprah is a CELEBRITY. Nothing more. She is NOT a counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist, or medical professional.
She's a trash tv talk show host-- that's it.
I don't know what's up with these celebrities lately, thinking they are politicians and doctors.
Brad Pitt on Capital Hill; U2 pushing for my tax money to help Africa, now Oprah playing shrink.
Listen, these celebrities are ACTORS, and PRETENDERS. Their lives are glamour, and champagne, and scripted for a world of make believe.
These celebrities don't know what it's like to be poor, yet they want a person like me, barely getting by to support other nations and cultures. I don't see them giving up their mansions and millions to the poor and needy.
The may walk through poor areas on their "world tours" but they are protected by body guards, and dozens of security personnel.
I don't have such luxuries.
Plus where ever the celebrities go, the cameras follow, to justify their causes.
U2 shows starving Africans, but the group doesn't show the ones that hate me and would kill me where I stand if I set foot there.
Oprah talks about abuse, but she doesn't say much about the ABUSE THAT OCCURED IN THE SCHOOL SHE FUNDED IN AFRICA. How quiet that controversy is.
As for Chris Brown. Is he related to the same Bobby Brown that used to beat up Whitney Houston?
Chris should be tied to a tree and set on fire. Real justice for real abuse.

Oprah is no counselor but she's entitled to her opinion like everyone else. But you're right though. They're pushing people to help other people when they should be the one to give more. Then like you said Chris Brown got to smack Oprah one more time before getting burned, haha.

Although I like Chris Brown's songs and may literally be called a Chris Brown fan, I don't think he deserves another chance after what he did to Rihanna. I think prison sounds better for him. He deserves to be in jail.

I like the kid. Ok he made a bad choice by assulting his girlfriend. He should be given a second chance. They give hardcore criminals second chances. Why not him. Rhianna is not all miss innocent here. For all we know she started this whole thing. Yes he should not have beaten her up, but it happened. Everyone has made bad choices in their lives. Ours are not blasted over the internet and televison. This magnify things. Bad choices are what we humans do best. The trick is to learn from them.

you know - i want to say that "no person has the right to put their hands on anybody- man or woman."
our world is so judgemental, like our lives are so perfect. no you may put your hands on another. but at the same time- we all have issues in our lives- that we want the only one that has a heaven or hell to put us in and he can only forgive us- and that is "jesus" himself.
the bible says - "if you want god to forgive you for your sins, you must forgive others" that you have a problem basically. as long as he asked the lord to forgive him- who is the main one - then rihanna. then that is it.
who are we to judge him. we must give him a second chance. you would want a second chance. he makes fabulous music, he dances like nobody i've ever seen - other than michael jackson and usher.
i hope chris will maybe read this one day- chris, i pray that you have asked god to forgive you. he is your maker. he knew you before you were ever formed in your mother's womb. obviously- you are on this earth for a reason. this alone will make you grow- but...seek god first in everything you do. don't worry about sally or joe have said- we all have issues- mine may not be like yours, yours may not be like mine.
god loves you no matter if nobody else in the world does. you ask god to forgive you! he will - but....ever do that anymore to anyone else. walk away.
god bless you all.
