Resign before of after finding a job?

I want to change a new job now,but I wonder whether I should resign before or after finding a new job.Hope for your advice. If I resign before finding a job.There are some issues I'm worried about: 1.Whether I can find a job soon.If not,I will have no income then I can't live my life. 2.Even I can find a new job soon,I can't make sure it's better than the current job. 3.I don't have enough time to find jobs. If I resign after finding a job. 1.Maybe I can't work in the new position very soon as the new company require. 2.I can't have affairs leaving to the interview.

If it's a better paid job or if it's a job of your dream then resign after this job is secured.If it's none of the above don't change your job. It's really hard to find a job nowadays with the current economic situation.

Ideally, you should resign after you find a job but if your job is completely unacceptable, for example you to do immoral things or your boss is wanting to sleep with you or something of that nature, I say leave with all deliberate speed. As my college PCA used to say, "Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya." Although she meant, throwing out an undesirable person from your life, not quitting a job that was undesirable. Same principles apply.

With the global recession, i think you should resign after finding a new job.. it's very hard to find a good job these days as global recession is one of the major problems we are all facing right now.. imagine, there are hundreds to thousands of people applying for one job and only few of the applicants will be hired... just think of the present situation right now.. good luck!

this is a no-brainer! why would you quit one job before you have something else lined up? are you aware of what is going on in the world? people are so desperate for work that in some cases 700 people are applying for one position! i know that i am a good worker but i know that i am competing with a whole lot of people. don't be dumb! get something else before you quit!
