I'm really excited that my relatives are moving in with us this week. I think the bigger the family is, the better. But I'm a little worried. Bigger family means bigger stress right? I hope their moving in will not cause us troubles. I'm looking forward to them here in our house. Our house is divided into to 2 parts. It's like having building 1 and building 2. WAIT! Don't think that our house is really big and that we're rich. It's big enough to have 2 families in it. So most likely, my relatives will have their own place. It's just that our house a.k.a. building 1 and building 2 are link together. Also, the water and electric bills are separated from the 2 buildings.
What do you think will be the issues that will arise by living together with them?
Do you think it's a good or bad idea?
Do you also have this experience? Can you share about the pros and cons about this living arrangement?
Hope to read some response! ^_^

Hmm.. Actually, I fear that problems will arise after they moved in. I don't want any of our sides to fight with each other. I hope we can adjust well. Even if problems arise, I hope we can solve it immediately. We don't want more stress when we go home after work right? Thanks for sharing! ^_^

I agree, the bigger the family is, the better! when we don't have our own house yet, we used to live with my mom's side of the family.. you know, during our stay there, we didn't have issues, we didn't have any problems, etc.. I have established a good relationship with my grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins.. i love my family and relatives, i can never live without them!!!

Having a good relationship with the relatives is a very big factor that's why I'm really excited that they're moving in with us! ^_^ I love them and they're really fun to be with! It's like having friends live right next to us. Thanks for sharing! ^_^ Oh btw, the relatives that are moving in with us are also from my mother's side.

Hi NaomiErin:
Of course the more family you can stay in touch with the better, and I am so happy for you.
The only thing I can think of for you to do is lay down all of the rules before they agree to stay.
That includes who will pay for what, and who will be responsible for getting certain things done.
Good luck....I pray your family unit grows together during the stay.
Take care...

Thank you LuckyLadyD! I think my parents laid down their rules. I'm just not fully aware with it. So far, things are going smoothly. They'll start moving some of their things tomorrow. Our problem now is how to evacuate our other things to building 1. LOL!

It has both advantages and disadvantages i guess. yeah, your relatives move in means you can have fun and look after each other when needed. never feel lonely. The problems will come along too as you have already listed. I don't have many relatives, so my family is very simple and quiet, i'm so used to it and i can hardly imagine what life will be if relatives move in or even next door. As for me, i don't like it.
anyway, good luck to you. hope you are having fun.

Some people like to have their own privacy. I agree that it's hard to changed a life we are used to living at. But I think these changes will be welcoming for us. I just hope there won't be any problems. _
