Help me figure this out please

Ok, so I am a little confused on this topic and would like some help figuring it out....Polygamy...is it only believed to be right by mormons? What is the difference between LDS and mormons?
What are the beliefs that back up polygamy?
Can anyone help?

LDS and Mormans are the same. The cults are something else...they have another word before LDS but I can't think of it.... I grew up in a Morman church, but No, they don't say its ok to have more than one wife. That is called adultry and its a sin. Ok, I just looked it up, its the fundementalist latter day saints i believe. or FLDS. Hope this helped somewhat...

Yea I guess the compounds are because they are a cult. I don't really know too much about it but they've had an E! investigation on all kinds of cults and that was one. Thisgirl was talking and said they were going to force her to marry her cousin when she was only 14 or something. There are some really weird people out there.
