I recently watch a movie called "Taken". It was about 2 teenage girls went to travel to Euprope, France. They were kidnapped by the Albanian immigrants underground organization. These organizations were working to sell those girls to wealthy buyers. Is there factual evidence? I believe that would happen everywhere. What should we look out before we make any travelling plan?

I saw Taken in the theater on the first day it came out. What a great movie! I think it is a very real situation but I also would hope that 2 sets of parents wouldn't just let their teenage daughters go overseas alone and without a good plan. The number one way to avoid this situation is to travel with adults and in a group.

My husband just bought this dvd yesterday. We will be watching it tonight but I thought I'd respond to this discussion and read other responses to see if the movie is worth watching. I guess it will be.

Yeah, I've seen this. Actually, it was my friend who insisted that I watch this movie 'cause she said it was really good and I think so. The movie was really worth watching. It's a nice story. It's just so sad that things like that is happening. I think we should be very careful with strangers who are approaching us and make sure that we don't trust them easily. Always look after for ourselves and our loved ones when we're traveling.

Yes, I saw the movie. It was very intense. I can't believe that someone would actually let their teenage daugther go to France for the summer with a friend.
Great movie and yes, I can see it really happening to young girls.

I want to watch this movie because I admired harrison ford. Very interesting story, well this happens everywhere. The first thing you should do when travelling in a foreign land is always take precautions, avoid meeting and "too nice" to people you did not know, go to the police if you are lost and want to find your way back to the hotel or other places and not to the people in the street, avoid suspicious looking people and never go with them if they will invite you to see this and that area.
