He is not spoiled..he's a lovely little boy who likes to play. he is bored! Play with him more and send time with him. He will love you for it and he will chew up things less. He will also grow out of this, at last to a certain extent. My friend has a little dog who loves soft toys. She will play with them for ages till they rip and tear then she pulls them apart. It's just something she loves to play with.

I think it's time to get the rawhide bones and chews that way he has something that is made for chewing and he can chew til his little hearts content. They have many sizes of rawhide for you to chose from and depending on how big the chew is depends on how many there are in the package.

How old is he? Sounds like you need to teach him there are his "chewies" that are acceptable to chew on while clothes pins etc. are not. You didn't say whether it was a wooden or plastic clothes pin - but either one could be bad news if it splinters and it gets hung in his throat:(
If I were you I think I'd be worried about what he has chewed on that you haven't found yet actually. Just some food for thought is all.

He is will be one year tomorrow, the clothes pin was made of wood, I am still shocked that he would do that, it was chewed down to the metal spring.
I am working on his chewing and telling him not to nip or bite.
Brownie is ok most of the time.

yes you almost have to watch them like little kids. my dog will chew a toy sometimes till she gets the squeekie out
i worry she will get something stuck in her throat some day. i watch her and treat her just like i did the kids. i've even sowed a favorite toy back up that she loves just like i used to my kids. my daughter made fun once by saying, mom you just couldnt stand having no more kids in the house

I know what you mean, it is kinda hard for me to keep an eye on him all the time because he likes to hide underneath the table, he hides his toys there and the other things he is not supposed to chew, I find when is late.
MMM...
I am trying to play with him often and bought him toys.
Not sure what else I can do.

Hello ShellyB. I wondered if he still is teething but I think I read somewhere he's about a year old. But here's a link that may be helpful to you if you haven't looked it up already.

I have the same problem. My puppies chew everything! I can't keep nothing from them. My youngests sons toy box, the dogs thinks it is theirs, they will go in there pick out what they want and chew it to pieces! I even bought them their own chew toys, but they won't chew on them. I actually have to hide my slippers so the dogs won't get them! Last night I had to put them under my pillow because everywhere I put them the dogs would get them.

I have bought Brownie chew toys and he does play with them, it is not that he goes chewing on everything, just little weird things that could hurt him, like the clothes pin, I wish you good luck,
I do not think he is into slippers (my dog that is) and I hope he never likes them.
Good luck to you.
