Help our government

First of all, a lot of people don't agree with the bailouts or economic plans at all. Many think they will not help anything or even make the problem much worse. In light of that, the rich people would not be "helping" if they decided to give money. The one thing we have proved in that last couple of years, if not longer, is that throwing money at the problem has not made it better, but instead has arguably made it worse. Secondly, America is, and probably always will remain, a capitalist country. We value the ideas of hard work and success and doing all you can to achieve your own version of a good life. I do not believe that the people who worked very hard for their money and climbed to the top of the socio-economic ladder should be treated like misers hoarding their money. They are not hoarding. They have a right to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Why should they help out companies who are going under because of poor management and extravagance? Why should they help people who never worked a day in their life simply because they didn't want to?

Why should it be just the richest people giving to the government? The government already takes more from then than the rest of us. Maybe we should all give the government a big donation. OH wait a minute that's called taxes. The government should be doing a better job of not waisting our donations.
