In the news today, I read that Rampage will NOT be fighting for the title shot against Evans. It seems that Rampage has to have surgery to jis jaw and will not be able to fight. I was actually looking forward to that fight too!!
Now, in case you haven't heard, "Mask" from Tapout has died. This was alo in the news today. It seems that he was in a horrible accident amd did not survive. What a sad day for Tapout and the MMA world.

lynnemg,
You know, I'm not a UFC fan, but my son is and what I know about UFC is from the radio program that my son listens to just about everyday on MME. If he hasn't heard about this, yet, I'm sure that he will be shocked as well as sad. He really gets into his MME along with a couple of his buddies.

lynnemg,
Just between you and I, I thnk it a conspiracy to get people like you and I into the sports that our die-hard sports fans, that are friends or family, want to get us hooked on. My son has me so hooked on football. This is from a girl that grew up not more than two blocks from Memorial Stadium when the Colts were our team. I never went to a football or baseball game. My son now has me so into the Ravens that I actually cried at the end of one game last season, where we were so close to winning and lost it by 1 point at the last minute! I thnk that my son leaves the volume up on the MME radio program so I become a fan just by osmosis....lol

Indeed a sad day to the Tapout and MMA fans. The MMA world lose a pioneer to the sport but his legacy will live through all of the people who was influenced by his clothing line. He is one of the people who are responsible for what is MMA now. Indeed Tapout is synonymous to the word MMA, and Mask will live through it. Rest in peace Mask. Thanks for your contribution to the MMA world.
For the change of topic, about the fight of Rashad Evans and Rampage - actually I'm very disappointed about what happened. After all the hype and the trash talking of the fighters, it just made me want to see them fight more. Then, this happened. Well, the fighter's health and safety is what is important. I'm hoping for Rampage's quick recovery. I really love to see them fight.
On my own prediction, I see the fight of Rampage and Rashad to be set in the far future. I just believe Lyoto Machida will outclass Rashad Evans in their light heavyweight championship bout and defeat him. And then Rampage will go for his shot for the title and after whatever the result is, I see the fight between Rashad and Rampage.
