When playing online games. Do you prefer Private or Non-Private Servers?

When I play Online games, I always check if there is a private server of it. IF there is I play the private server. For me it is saving money from buying cards in order to play the online game. How about you? Do you play the Private one or the Non-Private? Why? Do you think it will like affect the game company business?

I usually play mmorpg's which I access with a game card from www.ultimategamecard.com and I prefer non-private server to avoid complications...
