I love different people and different cultures but some people seem to be threatened by the unknown. Is there any way to put those kind of peoples worries at ease?

I know in Canada we are a mix of MANY cultures, and I personally love that! I love the diversity we have here. I like learning about other people's cultures and religions, I'm very open in that way. I do know some people who wern't open to any of that...until they met someone of a different culture! It seems that meeting and be friending someone with another culture works.

Like what you've mentioned, people are usually threatened by the "unknown" so I guess we can say that to ease these worries and fear, the best way to deal with it is to identify these "unknowns"...
study about their culture before we meet them and all those kinds of stuffs...

I think that it helps to remember all people have feelings. It is best for me to respect a person's culture and find out about it if it different to mine. It is superb to respect different religions. Even if two people speak different languages a smile can show that all is fine. Life would be boring if we all looked and acted the same. I have traveled to so many different countries and met lots of different nationalities. I have met the Masai Mara tribe in Kenya, Jewish and Muslim people in Israel and aboriginal people in Australia.
