Incentive:possible upgrading possiblity for myLot?

Well, of course we know that it is the word about town here at myLot that there is a new type of stimulus idea coming up around the corner and I know that we are all anxious about it. I know that there have been some other postings related to this same subject. I have a two part thought. It is a question and comment on this matter. First, I am wondering if it could possible have something to do with members upgrading. Second, I need to say that I am not really for the idea of upgrading because I don't want to spend money to make money. I am here for fun and of course to make some extra earnings for my life, however I just don't have the income myself to be able to upgrade. Of course I could be totally off target as to what myLot has in store for us. Any comments on this matter? Best response for best answer.

Any comments on this matter? My only thought is that if, as you quite rightly suggest, there are other discussions talking about this, then why not join in on those instead of starting another one?

The ones I've seen haven't offered any ideas on what the plan might be, they only quote the message we all got and ask us if we think it's a wonderful idea! Bamakelly is speculating what it might be and presenting an idea.

I do understand that other members here may have raised some other ideas. I just thought I would throw in my two cents for another discussion. I do get the point that I could also join in on other conversations about this matter as well. Thank you for responding.

I make it a rule to never spend money in order to make it, at least on the internet. If they have a membership upgrade here, it'd better be cheap and return a LOT in order to tempt me!

I have to agree with you. I don't blame you for not wanting to put out money for something in return here at myLot. On the other hand you do make a good point the fact that the upgrade better be cheap and worth our while even to start thinking about it.

boy people don't know that to make money you have to spend money but be careful of course where you invest it. Do you argue with the cashier when you pay 6$ for a bread you want? Of course not! Besides if it were true, we all would have had a notice on the subject..so it may be just a myth

Hi, Red Feather! I know that you do have to spend money to make it but when it comes to earning on the internet, there are too many people that can take advantage of you. That's why I said I won't spend money to make money. In the physical world that would not work! But on the internet I think it is a cautious attitude that has saved me money, trouble and heartache.

I do not know how an upgrade situation could work on here, as they are not going to pay some more per post than others who haven't upgraded as ech post is valued on its worth to the site. I guess we will have to be patient and keep watching for news.

If the plan were to offer an upgraded membership I guess it would depend on the cost. I do agree that you have to spend money to make money but the return will have to outweigh the investment and everyone's situation is different. I'm not here as often as I was a couple of month's ago so, depending on the cost, it may not be for me. I guess we'll find out soon though.

I don't mind spending money if I'm making more money because I have invested in it..like my business..I can make thousands with the 10$ I invested..now that I

Bama Kelly- I just saw this post, and I definately an curious myself about what these upgrades will be. Hopefully they will be things such as being able to edit a post you make, delete a thread you've created in case you don't like it, and being able to earn ranks without the arbitrary popularity contest. I would hope as well that they'd add paid objective moderators to field questions, clear threads that violate TOS, and well do what any other website such as this does. Of course, if they do make us pay for membership, if was not too much I'd still pay a yearly fee or one time fee if it meant that teens and children couldn't participate. I know that may sound harsh to children but I want a place where I can have adult conversations. It might also take care of trolls, those who have multiple ID's and do nothing but cause trouble, or those who have multiple names to earn more money. (Though that seems like quite the thing to do). I hope that whatever it is Mylot administration has planned that it helps improve the site, improve user relations, and helps us to continue to enjoy our time here. Namaste-Anora

I don't usually pay for memberships on websites, especially ones that pay. It just doesn't quite make sense to spend money to make money when you aren't certain of what you'll make. Even with my business, I haven't really spent a lot on it - I offer a service, so there weren't any major expenses to consider. I am thinking about starting another business which might require buying some materials, but since I can give the items away as gifts if it doesn't work out, at least I won't feel as badly.

You do not have to offer me a best response to get me to answer. I have my speculations, but none of them involve purchasing an upgrade. To me that would not be an incentive to earn. I am afraid if that were to happen I would leave here. Another site I am on or was on kept upgrading, and I got really tired of it and quit. I think it is an opportunity to do more writing for more money.

It is something that I have also thought. If I have to pay some money, I think i will not favour it. Rather they must make soem grades based on no of post and earnings can be accordingly.

I think everyone will agree to pay upgrade. To create more mylot discussion,we can make some meaningful, and formulation of some rules.

I also don't want to spend money to earn money. If that's the upgrade then I might quit mylot. I'm here to learn and practice my english. Earning money is just the bonus of it. But if there's no fee then that's good.

To me,spending money to make money is little crazy. How could mylot do that? I think it wouldnt be the new stimulate. But the same as rohard, the main aim coming here is learning and practicing English. anyway, wish mylot be more good and give more happy to us!

I agree that would be the worst idea at mylot. I enjoyed mylotting here because we all are at the same level and we earn with our skills not because we give money to mylot to get money. I even don't like the idea of renting referrals and all because you never know you are going to get an active referral on purchasing. These are the reasons why I felt people enjoy mylotting. I also won't go upgraded to make more money!
