Install XP Recovery Console on Hard Disk

Goto startruntype cmd
type d:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons
(where d is drive letter where i386 folder located)
//a dialog box will appear, asking u to install recovery console...
//at next boot u will see recovery console option...[;)]
Now what is [b]RECOVERY CONSOLE...it's a DOS based console which is used when u r unable to boot XP...u can fix any type of error from here which is not possible in Windows environment...

do i need a recovery console...?what can i do with it???can u explain more???

sometimes due to virus or inflitration ur windows get corrupted or sometimes u may have faced problem like "hal.dll missing" or "ntldr missing"...so at that time u can use recovery console to fix these type of errors...or sometimes u r unable to format ur drive in windows environment...so u can format ur specified drive from recovery console too...beside this there r many other opr. that can be performed through recovery console...
