I saw it. I was ok when I watched it. It's not the scariest movie that I have ever seen. But then it started to bother me the next day, and for several weeks afterwards. The thing with the asian girl and what happens to her eye. That image will probably stick with me the rest of my life. As to your question as to if I think that places like that really exist - yes, I do. I don't doubt it. I'm sure there aren't a lot of places like that... but I'm sure that some exist somewhere. Man can be so twisted and warped. The fact that someone thought it up for a movie means that it's possible they aren't the only ones who have thought about it... know what I mean? I know there are people out there who get off on hurting other people ... so I'm positive places like this exist somewhere.

I was really bored and disappointed at the beginning, and it was too gory, even for me (which I'm used to, but not a fan of). That said, I thought it was a great film. As a writer, I was impressed with the character development of the main character Paxson, whom I didn't like in the beginning, but by the end, I cared for and was rooting for. I was also impressed with the way the story was set up (though I didn't think it had to be that boring in the beginning), and the suspense and action which took place once the story was built up. The plot was also scary in a way, because although I don't know if places like that actually exist, but I believe that places like that can exist.
