The new episode wasn't at all like I thought it would be. And both boys got a revelation that neither of them (or us, probably) expected. Tessa, the Reaper that had spent time in the hospital trying to convince Dean to move on waaay back when, told him that the Angels didn't have something nice in store for him. The psychic lady who lost her eyes for the boys told Sam that, "If you think you have good intentions...guess again." So apparently, both who're supposed to be choosing like opposite paths are choosing the wrong ones? So what're the boys supposed to DO exactly? if psychic powers and fighting on the side of the angels aren't the right choices? I realize that maybe it was a more of a matter of fact "you should just know" type of reasons that they both told them that, not a suggestion that they need a change in direction, but that's just sortof how I took it 'cause it's so inexplicable, the way they were told. What're your thoughts on this episode? Where do you think the boys will end up by time this season's over?

I do not want the brothers to be at odds when the season finale ends. I just don't like that kind of thing. Sure, they fight and have had periods where they were angry with each other, and occasionally they went their own way. But I'm sick of shows who produce major rifts between the main characters. It seems contrived, and unrealistic. After all this, would they really not listen to each other and do the opposite of what they know they ought to do?

The boys have always made their own choices, led their own lives...they may listen, but it doesn't mean they'll always accept whatever eachother decides or that it'll always change their way of thinking. I don't like them at odds either. "Brothers at odds" is quite cliche, yeah. I gotta believe they won't have them end up enemies, I mean...they love eachother too much, they're all eachother has. Neither of them does well alone.
