I am so tired of pyramid schemes and endless referrals!

I have been at this for some time. Clicking paid emails, linking to "get a free laptop" lies, and writing on make money for blogging web pages only to find that I have more spam in my in box than ever, that laptop isn't coming anytime soon(because the surveys are never ending) and blogging my time away for what amounts to nothing in revenue has left me feeling like an idiot for giving away my words because I fell for those sites lies.
Referrals? I've had a few, but all it is is a cyber-hyped pyramid scheme. Besides, there is no one left to even refer.
So where is the actual money making sites? I really want to know.

I've been running into the same thing, and wondering the same thing. There's a link in my profile to my blog, where I explore some of these websites and try to figure out which ones are worthwhile. I've just picked a few to focus on that seem the most likely to be legit, and post on my blog about my experiences at them. I don't know if anything I write about will be of any interest to you, but you're welcome to share my frustrations and triumphs and know that you're not alone in feeling this way. :)
The truth is, there's no way to make a serious amount of money through such websites without a zombie horde of referrals, except for a few - and even then you're never going to make a living off of them. And whether or not a site is worth it or not can literally change overnight, if the site changes management or changes how things are done.
