Avast home edition is completely free of cost and you can download it from its site. If you update it regularly you will not have any problem. If you have internet connection then it checks for its updates and it updates itself everyday. Till now i didn't get any problem using avast.'
Happy myLotting...

I don't relay on a single anti virus software as it is not possible for the anti virus software to dedect and remove all the threats. I will change then and there if my system is infected with virus and if it not identified by the existing software. But for the additional features that are bundled with the software I like Norton 360 and Norton anti virus software.

oh ok, but is it easy software to install and uninstall nortan 360? Ya all these nortan products are from semantic right? what is the use of network monitoring when you have your own personal pc? i didnot understand that? hey thanks for all this info.

The main feature I like in Norton 360 is its automatic password filling option for our favorite websites. We need to just open the website,it will automatically fill the required details provided that we have instructed to do so earlier. Another feature is its network monitoring - it will monitor all the system connected to our network and with out our permission no other computer can access our connection. It is available as 90 days trial version. Try it if possible. For your kind information Norton 360 and Norton Anti virus are different but both are from same provider.

how are you able to manage because when you are online most of the time, anti virus is necessary right? what do you do to avoid anti virus then, i think fire wall is only to stop unwanted traffic, i did try once but my system was affected with virus , since then, i dont go online without my anti virus turned on.

Using a new verion costs you right? do you buy anti virus online? or do you buy it from outside? I also use mcafee only, i use the old version. you must receive updates to protect the system from various new threats coming online.

presently i am using symantec, it is good, before i was using mcafee but it does not gives total protection, many times i was infected with viruses like torajon and all, after using symantec i from the last 1yr still now my pc did not get infected, or if i attach a pendrive to my pc which consist of virus, symantec deletes it immediatly......so symantec is good
