aggressive or assertive which do you prefer

Aggressiveness is only a good thing to be when you first meet someone. Assertiveness deserves far more respect in my eyes. Being aggressive, to me, only shows someone is: arrogant, dominant-seeking, narcissist.

As with everything, there are levels of aggressiveness. Meeting someone for the first time does have a little to do with whether or not someone is seen as a narcissist, but I generally prefer cool tempered people who aren't out to impress. Those are the most fun to get to know.

I would much rather be assertive than aggressive but I'am typically much too passive.

i think ita a fine line between the 2, tho also depends on the type of aggression i suppose,
i am an out going person and am assertive but that just comes from being confident in myself.
tho i always try not to be too assertive and value other people as if too assertive that can come across as aggressive
