high school musical vs. grease?

those of you that have seen both, which one do you like better & why? i just saw high school musical 3 & the ending made me think about grease...what do u think?

Not an overly huge fan of either movie, but for me it would have to be Grease because it's a film grew up with where High School Musical is for a younger generation.

I hate high school musical. I dont see why so many people like it. Even though I think its mainly for girls I dont know why any guy would like this film it looks totally dumb. Grease on the other hand is a classic. I love grease everything about it I love its probally my favorite musical of all time and the movie that inspired me to get a biker jacket lol.

grease is awesome, great classic - no doubt it inspired u to get a biker jacket :) sweet!
i think high school musical is good for the kids today though - they seem to connect to it & the characters even though they're all pretty dramatic! well, kids today are pretty dramatic too i think...so i think it's a good musical for the times, just like grease was good in it's day - people related to it back then.

Cant Stand High School Musical to be hoenest, and Wasnt totally fond of Grease, although its way better than High School Musical. But then again, I havent been particularly fond of musical either, not that I would like to watch certain ones like, Phantom of the Opera for example.

thanks - i love musicals for the most part; i think it's kinda sad we're moving away from good musicals - even disney movies dont have singing anymore (well, good stuff like aladdin & jungle book). and kenny ortega (HSM) has choreographed some great stuff too (newsies - a disney movie made in the early 90s i believe).
