I have 2 labradors, one yellow and one black. We recently lost a black lab, she was 14 yrs old. We have a new black lab, she is 6 months old. The yellow lab is 8 yrs old. Their names are Sidney and Madison. They are both hunting dogs, but the puppy is very active, she still needs alot of training.

Did your Corgi go through a couple of really wild puppy years? My daughter bought a Corgi last year, and that dog is crazy. I go over to their house to visit, and Hallie races around and up and over me enroute. Outside she's just a ball of energy. She's already so strong that both boys (age 6 and 3) are scared of her. Any suggestions from your own experience?

I have a Shih Tzu and Miniature Poodle mix - a Shih Poo. She is a mixed breed. She is six months old and just got fixed. I think that mixed breeds are better although because she's such a great dog, i might try a mini poodle pure bred. Oops, she's got food on her mouth in this pic, sorry!

poor little bitty poochy woochy, i hope she is feeling better.
my puppsie wuppsie is a lab mix. she is ten months old and her back just about half an inch from under the table. she's getting so big.
i tell her she is such a tiny baby i can't see her, she likes that. she also likes me to hold her and hug her as though she still fits in my arms.

I have three Lhasa Apsos and one mixed breed. I prefer purebred because when it comes to problems some breeds might have (like problems with kidneys, eyes, mental health etc) that often are genetic, it's better to get a pure breed from a breeder that are responsible in how they breed... It's simply not true that mixed are more healthy (mentally and pschysically) than purebred, truth is that there is no telling what might happen with a mixed - they may just come up with all the bad things in a breed BUT doubled! It's also difficult to know twhat happens when you mix two breeds... Is the combination a good one or a complet disaster... With that said - no, you cant be sure purebreds are any better BUT hopefully you find a breeder that cares for the breed more than about the money... My parents are breeders (Lhasa Apsos) since 30 years so I think I know a little something about this - not saying I'm right though - i'ts just my opinion! Yes, my husband had a mixed when we met and he is a wonderful boy (thank god!) but we can never be sure - if something goes wrong with him... is it genetic and from what breed... and so it goes on!

I have a German Shepherd because my husband prefers big dogs so she will be a guard dog. Of the bigger dogs that is the kind I like. I would love to have a Shih tzu because they are so cute. I have two little dogs that people here call pekinese but they are not. I am not sure what kind they are. I need to go on the internet and look until I spot a photo of some like them. LOL

I've two roadies(mixed breed-picked up from the road) and believe you me they are by far the most affectionate mongrels i've had . before them i've had labradors, a dobermanpincher, a lhasaapso, a couple of hounds but east or west the mongrels are the best.

I have a mutt. Miniature Dachshund/Coker Spaniel mix. I like purebred and I like Mutts. I know that mutts don't tend to have as many health problems as purebreds, but I don't have a preference. It depends on the attitude and personality of the specific dog.

I have my Doberman named Bruna, it does not matter to me as long it is a dog and as long as i can handle to tame him.
