I like my steaks rare. I like them fresh so I buy when I want to cook one. I hate defrosting meat. Then I take a lime and squeeze the juice on both sides..to kill any bacteria and also to give the meat a great flavor. Once it is marinated, then I put the spices on it and wait again 20 minutes..when it's ready..then I broil it to a rare..juicy ..yummm..oh my gosh. I better run to the store and get me one !!!

London Broil is a very useful cut! I used to like to put it in a large piece of foil with onions and Worcestershire sauce, a little water and then seal it up tightly. I'd bake it at 450 for about 45 minutes then turn the temp down to 300 for 90 minutes. It came out tender and juicy. I'd add potatoes and carrots the last 45 minutes. Other times I'd slice it very, very thin and use it to make Beef Burgundy, which was really delectable. Other cuts of beef didn't work as well.

I don't think I have ever cooked a London Broil before. I rarely buy beef that is not a big roast or ground anymore though. I like my meat well done, so a lot of beef cuts just get too tough by the time they are done to my standards(NO PINK AT ALL). Your dinner does sound yummy though. I love scalloped potatoes and green beans as sides with dinner. What did you end up having for dessert?

I think that I have made London Broil before, but it hasnt been something that I would have made very many times. I like to eat London Broil that is for sure. I think that there are many things that taste good when you eat them, but not as good as if you cook them yourself.

Hey TnWoman! I have been making London Broils for years! I love them! I spice them up with onion powder, pepper, garlic powder and some Kikomen Teriayki Baste & Glaze. Sometimes I will marinate the steak overnight. It makes the London Broil even more tender! Then I broil it and it is so yummy! I happen to love this cut of steak and have been buying it all my life! If you cut in thin it is so delicious! My boyfriend doesn't care for it because he isn't used to this cut of meat. I don't care because I love it! My mom always bought it and we loved it! Wasn't it great? You should try the Kikomen Baste, it really gives it nice flavor!

That sounds really interesting. I didn't even know what the heck it was, until I asked my husband about it. He is the best cook in the world, and has probably made one before. I'm going to send this discussion to him to see what he has to say. This was an interesting question.

Hi TnWoman! That sure sounds delicious. I have never yet prepared London Broil before and I don't think I have ever eaten such dish before. It is kinda new to me. Can you tell me what is London Broil? I think it sounds good and maybe, if all the ingredients are available here in my country I might be able to experiment again on my cooking skills! LOL Thanks in advance! Take care and blessings to you! lovelots..faith

I have done this and I think I put a rub on it before I broiled it in the oven. i do remember it was very good. We don't eat that much meat anymore and it's become very expensive around here. So the only time I'd prepare it now is for a very special occasion.

I have a London Broil about once a month and I cook mine on the broiler in the oven. I fry up some onions, peppers and mushrooms and throw them on top. I will ussually serve it with baked potatoes and string beans. Sounds yummy!

We use london broil for alot of things in my house. I make a kickin' bleu cheese london broil, which is good. We also use it for kabobs, in the summer time because it's just so much more tender. I also like to just wrap it up and throw it in the oven with some spices and let it slow cook all day long. Hope your dinner was great!
