Blogging is firstly great fun but also time consuming and it is definitely not a get rich quick way of making money. Most people who start a blog give up too quickly as they go into it believing that it is easy and all it takes is to write a new post every now and then and then sit back and watch the money roll in. Most bloggers who actually make a serious go of it will say that even after a year they are not making a huge amount of money and that blogging takes a lot more work than they expected. To be successful your blog needs to have a good niche subject. Your posts need to be original and show a passion for your subject. You need to post regularly and you need to be constantly driving traffic to your blog and promoting it where possible. But, there are a few who after a couple of years have managed to make enough through their blog to become a full time blogger. You just need to have patience, passion and determination to make a go of it.
