one thing that i miss of one of our bizarre foods is BALOT.....its many weeks old egg...with a chick in it then its being boiled.....better eat it while hot...with a little vinegar to add twist with the taste...it really depends on your taste...some wont really eat it for they think its yucky but its really not....its very delicious......its one thing that you need to try ....and also deep fry pig intestines...ohh how i miss them.....lol

I like eating balot, kwek-kwek, squid balls and dish balls. I have a cousin who visited the Philippines from Germany and he didn'y like Balot. I guess there is something different with Filipinos for us to enjoy Balot that much.

i really love to eat balot. many say that it strengthens our knees. but for me, i eat balot because it really is delicious. you can even eat it with rice. eating balot with friends is even fun too. you enjoy eating and you can even have a contest of who can eat more balot. but we just have to be careful because balot can cause our blood pressure to increase. i also love eating chicken skin. it is like chicharon but it is more delicious. just dip it with spicy vinegar and it will taste really good. have you also tenga ng baboy? it also taste good, many Filipinos match it with good drinks.

I have eaten fried frogs and some farm locusts my dad used to get from our farm fields when I was young.
I have eaten crocodile meat which tastes like beef and tamilok or mangrove worm which are actually mangrove mollusk. They are a delicacy in Palawan, in the southern part of the Philippines.
I also have eaten a couple of street foods like, chicken feet, chicken head, pig's intestine, pig's blood and how can I forget the ever famous balut or chicken embryo.
