A cat uses it's whiskers to determine if a space is too small to squeeze through.The whiskers act as feelers or antennae,helping the animal to judge the precise width of any narrow passge.
Cats have no ability to taste sweet things.

We have a Minskin cat, she is hairless and her whiskers are not straight, they go every direction. She is so clumsey, she will be walking and down she goes. She falls off everything. I ask the vet, since her whiskers were not straight could this be her problem. She really did not know, but thought it was a good point.
