I sleep around 9 hours a day. I think sleep is very important and everyone should have at least 9 hours of sleep as it rests us properly and then we are reading for the next day ahead of us.
No one likes to see a cranky person that did not get a good night's sleep. We need to sleep to be happy and be able to concentrate throughout the day. :)

I usually get about 7 hours of sleep at night . I always seem to wake up with
the sun, and the chickens that live down the road . A good nights sleep is very important , for your health, and clear thinking . I also take a short siesta
every afternoon , for no more then an hour . I've also noticed that if I sleep too much , it makes me feel more tired during the day .

I normally sleep about 7 to 8 hours in the night and take an hour nap in the afternoon. For me sleeping is not wasting time because I need to replenish my body to work. If I don't get enough sleep I will get headache and I can't work properly.

I usually sleep anywhere from seven to nine hours each night. I like to aim more for nine hours, cause I feel like that is how much sleep I really need to be totally rested, but depending on what I'm doing, I don't always have time to get that much sleep.

Hi achinthya,
About sleep, don’t ask me, as I am getting less sleep. In other words I am not getting sufficient sleep. I think 6 hours sleep is enough for an adult but sometimes because of the younger one my sleep is getting disturbed in between that is the problem. I am going to bed around 11.30 PM and getting up around 6.00AM. On weekends sometimes I may get time to sleep extra but chances are rare. There must be some programs on weekends so I have to give up sleeping time.

I am always working on something or other but sometimes I even sleep for 9 hours
It really depends on the situations
Now my dad is out of town so I have to wake up early

For me, I normally sleep for 5-6 hours. Imagine that I only manage to reach home at around 9pm after work everyday, I really think that it's meaningless if I sleep at 10pm or earlier. Therefore, I always try to stay until 1-2am in order to spend some times privately. Otherwise, my life would be just 'working'. Terrible - spend too much time in work and the time just passes and passes.

I usually sleep anywhere from 4 to 5 hours. I just have never required a lot of sleep. About once a month or so, I'll get so tired that I'll sleep an entire 7 hours. When I do sleep...I sleep really deep. I do set an alarm but I am usually up before the alarm. I am fine with that amount and don't feel dragged down or anything. I think it all depends on your metabolism.

I try to sleep between 7 and 9 hours a night. If I can't get that many hours, I definitely try not to sleep less than 6 hours a night. I find that I can't function properly, if I get less than 6 hours of sleep. Besides, I don't think it's really healthy to get less than that, as adults.

About 7 to 8 hours per day, i would feel tired at day if my sleep time does not reach the amount the night before the day, actually i would sleep more than 8 hours at the weekend. It seems that different people have different need time of sleeping, one of my college classmate only need 3 hour to sleep every day, it is suprising short for most of us, but he says it is enough for him.
