Do You Get Shy with God?

When praying, we usually thank the Supreme Being for all the blessings. And most of the time, we ask for something -- guidance, happiness, more blessings, material things. But do you ever feel shy with God when asking for anything? Sometimes I do, especially when I have forgotten Him for a while and then suddenly want to pray for something. Have a nice day!

That is something I never do. I don't get shy with him and I don't really ask for anything. I just get in a nice out doors place so I can see the sky and start talking to him like I would anybody. If there is something I want or don't want I don't ask for it. I just say I hope I get this or I hope this happens but, if you feel something else is better then so be it. Just, let it be something good. If not you have your reasons. And, that's it! He knows what I like and don't like with out me having to ask him for anything. I feel he has his plans in life all I can do is stand be hind him and know he is right in the long run.

I don't pray to God with a big G but I used to and here are my thoughts regarding your question... Why get shy over asking God for something? If He really is as powerful and omniscient as He's supposed to be, He already knows what you want, He can read your mind. Actually, if you take the belief to its most literal, He's the one who made you want what you are feeling shy about asking for so there's really no reason to clam up about it... Perplexing, isn't it?
