would you prefer using wordpress or blogspot for your blogs?

i recently started my own blog at blogspot and have been with them for almost 5 months now. i am satisfied but i read a lot of blogs which says wordpress has better options and gives better security. i have 2 blogs at blogspot but i am thinking of starting another blog at wordpress. would you be kind to write your experiences and advice?
