Every one has a dream of becoming rich and wealthy.Even i do but i think there are a lot of millionaires in this world who dont help anybody. If i was a millionaire i would definately donate to a cancer charity. My question is that would you donate, if you were a millionaire and for what cause?

I probably would donate some money to some charities, but only if I trusted that my money would be used 100% in that purpose. But I would rather give my money in a more personal way than giving it to organizations, I'd rather give people my money (or something they needed) in person.

Yes, Ice Terror, you do have a point. Most charity organizations can't be trusted. They take the money and spend it on their own means.. Some of them are truthful though. But there are people out there that are money greedy! If the money goes to the individual's hand, I just pray that they do the right thing with this money. If not then it will go to waste..

Hi there!
If I were a millionaire, I will definitely be willing to help. My choice of charity would not be for cancer victims but for those who are victims of child abuse. I think that the children should go under therapy so that they will develop as normally as they could even though they went through really traumatic experiences.

Of course, I would. What would I do with lots and lots of money anyways, I'd rather use it for a good cause, right? The feeling of helping others and knowing that you're making others smile is just simply wonderful. It's not all about the money anyway, it's about kindness and being a positive, good role model to people by helping.

Thanks! Of course, I wouldn't want to give them the wrong idea by just giving them money and be lazy. Part of it was to learn the value of sharing, working hard and help those who are in need. Nice discussion

Definitely, I would be donating or perhaps support a foundation. If I would be a millionaire or even more than that, I will not just donate rather establish a foundation for special children. I really do have a soft heart to special children and I want to truly go in deep understanding with their behaviors and how to deal with them. That's it.

I am not a millionaire. I only have enough to support me and my family. Well, If I become a millionaire, I would certainly help those in need. But not in the form of donation. I will perhaps set up something like a foundation to provide education to those that cannot afford. Or perhaps set up a livelihood program. As you can see, in our area, there are a lot of children who do not go to school simply because their parents cannot afford to send them.

Hi, aakashmanu! I would donate to shelters for the homeless people in several city and states. I want to help the homeless people get a place to stay so that they can get on their feet. I don't want them to have to live on the dirty streets without water, food and clothing. I want them to be safe and sound. I want them to feel like a person again. I want them to feel God's love!

That`s a nice idea of helping homeless people to get some shelter and food but i think you should consider giving your money to get them some job instead of them the shelter.

Well as far as i am concerned i would have definitely donate if i was a millionaire, although i donated 5$ to a charitable organization from my helium account. I always believe that more you give more you receive, so whenever i get a chance to donate i keenly participate for the cause without taking into consideration whether that amount is big or small.

I'd donate to a lot of different causes. Especially anything involving animals. Not only would I donate money though, I'd donate time too. If I were a millionaire I wouldn't need to work or waste any of my time trying to make money, so I'd have a lot more free time to give freely to any organisations that wanted it.
Quite often when I'm online I will sit back and kind of wish "Gee, I really wish some random millionaire would read this comment, and think that I'm worthy of help". I'm trying desperately to save for my girlfriend and my own future, and I'm putting so much into it. So yeah, I fantasise about someone just coming along and offering me some help.
So I'm pretty sure that if I became a millionaire I'd actually browse sites like this one and I'd select people who I thought needed a bit of help. And then I'd send them some money. No strings attached.

Yeah i would love it if a established millionaire reads it,at least he would be tempted to donate some if he is not already donating some money.Apart from this i dont think that you would get much time if you are a millionaire instead you would become more busy than ever and wont even have time for your family, and thats the only disadvantage of becoming a millionaire if you have any other disadvantage then plz tell me and this is open for everyone.

ofcourse why not, if i were a millionaire i would definetly like to help people.
my contribution will be towards children and their education. those poor kids who are unable to spend and study, and they are the future of our country. so i would definetly like to teach them. i am strictly against child labour.

I probably wouldnt donate if I had a million dollars, I dont mean to sound greedy but look at the economy, a million dollars isnt as much as it used to be, plus I'd want to be able to help my kids and grandkids, on the other hand if I was bill gates rich I would start up my own cause and I'd title it "hey americans lets get out of debt charity" and I'd donate here and here to the government with a signed agreement that they'd use it to pay off debts to other countries, as far as a cancer cause, I dont want to sound mean but we should focus more on trying to eliminate the possibility of getting cancer, find a way to prevent it rather than trying to find a cure for it, finding a cure would be nice, but I dont think many people would be able to afford it, now if we found a vaccine that would prevent people from getting cancer in the first place, it would probably be more affordable and we could give it to kids so they wouldnt be at risk of getting cancer.

Hey i hope your opinion would change when you become a millionaire. And donating money to cancer charity also helps in finding a cure for cancer coz some part of that charity goes straight to the scientists for finding the cure and other medicines for cancer.

Dear friend,
I may start my own charity organisations helping all kinds of needs from medical to living better. May be I could keep a close watch how the money is routed and how well it is implemented to needed if I would start my own charity organisations. Definetly I would donate for the betterment and well being of society.

nope because nobody help me when i am poor! why should i? plus what benefit that i will get by donating! nothing, right! i always try to think profit, not fame! most rich person who donate, they crave for fame not because they really sincerely doing it!by donate money,we not actually helping these people but spoiling them..they definitely will ask for more donation and not work hard to earn it!

I would definitely give to charity.aside from supporting a charity,I will establish my own.I believe that those with abundant blessings should give back to the community. If I were a millionaire I will support and establish charities for abused women, special children, environment, and animals.
