What a week for Liverpool.F.C. .......LIVERPOOL.F.C 4-0 REAL MADRID.......
A massive 5-0 aggregate win over Real Madrid.
And todays great result against (what had been described as an unbeatable Manchester United) Liverpool were immpresive in a 4-1 win in which manu seemed to fall apart .
Will Fergie rue the day he put on the 3 big gun striking substitution just minutes before defender Vidic was deservedly sent off ?
YES ! That was Manchester United 1-4 LIVERPOOL.F.C. a thrashing in their own back garden.

I think these two were the best of Liverpool this season. I am just wondering if this also rates as the 2 best performances under Rafa, or maybe the Istanbul final was a bit higher than these two as the Champions League was on the line. To me, Gerrard and Torres represent the best Midfield and hitman combo at present. Add Alonso, Mascherano, Carragher and Reina and you have 6 top class players. The rest though need to move up a layer for Liverpool to turn in such performances week in and week out.
But, really what a difference a week makes in football. Hats off to Rafa and the Liverpool boys for the show they put on this week.
Cheers!

Maybe just maybe, Rafa's rant actually worked. I know it's the players on the pitch but it all seemed to come together, with even the modest players (who have been slated this season)seeming to have decent games. Look's like Rafa's got the measure of Fergie anyway ???
All in all a great week but I've got to say that, for me anyway, the Istanbul come back just shades this, but only by a whisker.
Thanks cev

Both games were awesome. Demolition of Real Madrid and Manchester United in a single week prove that Liverpool is capable of winning the Premier League and beating more famous teams on the Earth.
What is required is the consistency of it players throughout the season! Keep it up Liverpool. You are rock and you will never walk alone!
