Do you look on a product to see where it is made?

I do this now. I'm not as proactive while I am shopping doing this, but when I get home I glance at it to see...and I know I should do this in the store as well. I would like to support American products much more. I have noticed now that the meat packages are imprinted with the place where the beef is from. And that is a good thing, don't know why they never did that before.

Hi. No i don't usually look on a product to see where it's made...except for produce...I'm always interested in where it was grown. Another time when i look where the product is made is when i am shopping in the US. Anything that is made in North American is duty-free coming back into Canada. So, I do check the tags then. Otherwise, no. Nadine

My husband and I recently opened our own business and we tried to buy American made products when purchasing our initial inventory but it was almost impossible to do. It's a shame that simple things like tee shirts and motorcycle parts aren't made in this country but most of them aren't.

I bought a toy for my one-year old grand daughter today. I bought it (in the UK) in a shop where most of the toys were German. This one, however, was by an American company called Boogleoo. It was very difficult to work out the origin, however, because it was actually supplied by another American company called Manhattan Toys (Europe). The toy itself was manufactured in China. I am wondering what route it took to arrive in a shop in the UK. Did it come direct to us from China or was it sent from China to Utah, then to Massachusets and then to the UK? It cost me £9 (about $12) but, from my experience of how much these things cost to make, I doubt if it was worth more than $1 (and even then with a good profit margin).

They do that now because people want to know. I do look, "By America, Buy Proud".

I like to buy American, and I like to buy quality. Sometimes they are synonymous. But, I usually get Swiss Cheese from Switzerland, etc. I'm trying to avoid anything made in China, because it's all crap and I don't trust my safety in their hands. But it's hard to find stuff not made in China.

I do my best to peuchase thing and people that support my commuinty. Like the small business owners or companies that support the schools, churches, recreation, ect... in the community where I live - It does not matter if the product is from the USA as much but I do pay attention to that as well to some extent.
