my computer shuts down and restarts without opening the windows

Hit F8... keep pressing it until it gives you an option to go into SAFEMODE... you may have to arrow up. See if it will boot into safemode.. then you can run your antivirus in there. Hope that helps!

yes tis should do the trick if if still dosnt..do 1 think if u have a emergency repair disk with u...n run it ..it will scan the registries n fix any serious problem...

could be a virus, could be something else, could be the OS is corrupt. try booting it into safe mode and see what happens.
