I have done all the steps I think. But my blog is still pending.How long does it take for them to beside?

I can't help you but I hope someone can as I'm confused by this as well! I submitted a blog a few weeks ago but I gave up in despair after a while because I thought it was never going to be approved. So I deleted it from the database. Or so I thought - I realised a couple of days ago it was still there, and still "pending"! So I can't get it approved and I seemingly can't delete it either - what can I do with it?
