I've got STREP!!!!!!!!!!

Ack! They almost kept me overnight at the hospital because the strep is making my tonsils swell shut. But, they gave me a shot of steroids and a RX to Antibiotics and sent me home. I'm so misrable though. I hurt so bad. Hot drinks hurt, cold drinks hurt. Is there some natural remedies, does anyone know of stuff to make me feel better faster? I hurt so friggin bad. I almost wish they would have kept me over night so I could whine and complain to someone all night about how bad I feel! LoL. Wish you all the best health there is. This is sure no fun!

Hi,
though Strp+Steroid have given U relief, yet U r still susceptible.
If U r not interested to go thro the same experience soon.Follow this:-
1)Gargle hot saline-water,3-4 times/day.Everyday.
2)take 3-4 Basil leaves(tulsi).Crush.Mix 1 tsf honey Take both.2 time/day Everyday.
3)Equal proportion of fresh lemon juice & honey.1 tsf,2times/day.Everyday.
4)whenever possible,keep 1clove+1small piece ginger in mouth.Chew.
These are inexpensive,but effective.Do it daily.It will give U protection.

Wow! Is turmeric powder somehow related to salt? I've never heard of that before! My best friend also suggested saltwater gargling. I laughed at her and told her I used to do that as a child, but that it's more trouble than it's worth with the nasty taste and all. She told me to go try it anyhow. I did. It helped, a little. But, by that time my tonsiles were totally cutting off my throat so there would be nothing for it but go to the ER. They prescribed Augmentin. Is that anything like Roxithromycin? I know it's all poison designed to kill the strep (a thought that I really don't like to think about! Ugg!) They didn't swab me because I told the doctor that I have such a sensitive gag reflex that I would probably puke on her if she did. LoL! I do have to go and see the Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist tomorrow. Not looking forward to that either!
