Can I write a book and sell it on ebay?

It rather depends on the content and the form it takes. If you are writing a manual or guide and it takes the form of a pdf, e-book etc, then you would be basically distributing your knowledge or findings in much the same way as the individuals who list items which basically consist of them sending you a site to buy cheap goods, or a list of game codes. Often the price of this is minimal as its basically spidered info. If you are planning to write an actual book that you plan to market for more than a pound/dollar for example then you may need to consider legalities and copyright issues. In this case however, as a professional release it would be expected to be bound and copyrighted anyway. There are however easier ways for authors (amateur or otherwise) to develop their work online and turn a profit at the same time. Good luck Matt

Seems to me you can pretty much do whatever you want on ebay. Its one big yardsale. I dont really like ebay but everyone says its good for selling stuff. If you shop on ebay why not get some money back? Check my profile for a green/yellow banner with a guy throwing up money!

Actually there are a lot of book sellers on eBay and a lot of them are selling the products in e-book form but recorded in a physical CD. Electronic downloading is not allowed in eBay. If you are a new author, it would be hard to get buyers for your product (book) there. But then again, nothing is impossible. And I encourage you to try it. I am just curious, what specific type of book you are into?

Hi, It is a great idea. If you can write your own book and sell it on ebay. It would be a great start to make money. If you plan to make this your future income source, you have to make sure that your books are very interesting. Your first customer is the most important person. Customers will always come back to buy from you if they know that your products are good. Most of the time, they will help you promote your products to their friends, family members and so on. I think there should be no problems writing your own book and selling it on ebay since you can practically sell anything on ebay; the only thing you need to worry about when you list your book for sale is to get some ebay buyer to be interested enough to bid and buy your book. But to be really honest, it would be really hard to sell a book for a good price on ebay unless you are already a well-known author. But still, anything is worth a try and you might just get lucky.....
