I am now using a high-speed internet connection and I am so excited to see how fast I can work here. If you remember in my other posts, I have been complaining at how slow my internet connection is. Now that I am using a broadband, oh, I have no reason why I should not reach the monthly payout. I have just watched the concert of Journey in Youtube and for the first time, I have enjoyed watching concerts in Youtube. I have surf many sites and it only took me few minutes. I love my new internet connection. .....

Congrats! You won't know yourself now that you have a high speed broadband connection. You will never go back to dial up after experiencing a fast connection. It is almost impossible to enjoy and streaming video from the likes of youtube on dial up. Good luck and enjoy your speedy surfing

That's good! Dial up connection is very slow and you can't do much online if your internet connection is bad. I am glad that you are having fun with your broadband connection. :)

When I still was using a dial up, I would spend a maximum of two hours in the internet. I couldn't go more than that as I was saving my dial up card. The two hours that I spent in the internet, it was most mylotting and I could only make a few postings. I could not even post photos.

Ugh, no fair! Am I the only one left on here that is on dial-up? I wish I could get DSL or cable but it just isn't available in my area. That is one of the disadvantages of living out in the country. Oh well, maybe one day...

Before I got my broadband, I also thought that I was just the only Mylotter who uses dial-up. The dial pissed me off because I couldn't upload photos, get disconnected more often, and couldn't enjoy reading the different posts. But I having so much time in the net now using the broadband and wi-fi at home.

I have had cable internet for about 3 years now. I love it and can't imagine going back to dial up. I hear some of the ladies at church talking about how slow their internet connections are at home because of the dial up. Many of them live in the country and don't have access to anything else. Unfortunately, in many of the rural areas the companies that offer high speed and DSL don't think it's cost effective to run the lines. I guess because many of those areas are poorer households.

Several years ago, we lived in an apartment and I had cable internet. When my husband took a youth director's position at a church in the country, we didn't have cable or DSL options. We had to go abck to dial up. UGH. It was awful and we lived there almost 3 years. I was never so glad to be able to go back to cable when we moved again after he took a different church.

The broadband is lot more expensive that a dial up but the it's frustrating to wait with dial up. Now I have the comfort of watching anything or surfing the sites which I want. I won't be going back to dial up again.

Congratulations on getting broadband. The good thing about the broadband internet connection is that it is always faster and a person can use to see youtube and other video sites. Longtime ago there was only dialup internet connection. I still remember one of my friend had dial up internet connection and we used to spend around 5 to 10 minutes for dialing up to get into the internet connection. Also we could not get into any videos and the pictures also took long time to download. Now a days with the broadband connection the internet is very speed.

Congratz my friend.. Same as you, my first internet connection before was dial-up, I always keep on complaining to my father and to the customer service about my internet connection.. When my older brother have the business of computer cafe, our dial-up connection was changed into DSL which is more faster than board band I think.. Anyway, I'm happy that our connection is very good already.. i can do a lot of things without waiting too long..

Whatever are the disadvantages of having a broadband, I still wouldn't mind because a lot of advantages will still outweigh. Dial up takes forever to upload and download photos and videos.

The dial up connection takes many hours before finishing your uploads. I am impressed with the speed of my broadband. Now I am uploading photos of my husband's Friendster account while surfing the net and mylotting too. I can do many things all at the same time.

I got DSL a couple of months ago and the difference is like night and day. I work all day long on the internet (I'm self-employed and work from home.) and my stress levels have gone WAY down now that I don't have to wait... and wait... and wait... for every single website and email program to load. Bye bye dial up FOREVER!

I guess the dial up could also help me get some money in the net. hehehe. . . I would try my best to get some online earnings to pay for my broadband, isn't that a good idea?

Hi, I'm so glad you've got your broadband. It should be much, much faster than a dial up. We've been using broadband for sometime; so when I went to my brother's house and use his dial-up, then only I realise how slow it is. So have fun!

The dial up is really very slow. The speed of broadband is ten times faster than the dial up. Now I have just uploaded photos of my friendster and facebook account and it only took me few hours to upload lots of photos. Before it took me more than five hours to upload less than 10 photos.

It is good that you have switched to the broadband connection. Better late than never! I never even got an internet connection until broadband was not there. I had seen it with my friends and it was too much of a pain, waiting for so long for each and every page to load. Now you do not have to wait for hours for a two minute youtube video to buffer. I am sure you will enjoy the experiences of broadband. Cheers

Absolutely right. Better late than never. I still have much more to do over the net and having a broadband isn't a waste. I am enjoying every moment of my surfing activities.
