As a woman i understand her feeling of obligation to her man.but most times we put ourselves in vulnerable positions to be abuse and misuse.we have to stand firm and maintain our independence even if it means being single.i was slapped once by my boyfriend and he apologized and i forgave him.he never did it again.women work hard to acheive our goals and yet we allow men to destroy us.for someone in her position she should have remembered beyonces song irreplacable,i think.true words of strength to us women.gone are the days when men were solely the breadwinners, times has changed.women now have to be mother and father to her child because the males dont want to be responsible.fellow female mylotters always remember how strong we are.how much we can endure alone.dont allow anyone to make you their victims.when they hit you, they mean business and if you wondering i have moved on from that guy.

I think this has been dragged on for a long time. It is really up to them.

actually, it has not been dragged on to long. a crime has been committed by a very influential figure. this is especially significant because he is influential to young children, under the age of 12. his arraignment is set for this april. he will formally be charged with at least one assault felony. obviously the court and criminal justice system doesn't think that it has been going on to long. It is definitely up to them whether or not they get back together, but it is up to the justice system, whether or not he is brought to justice. in some sense, i hope this is more soon than later, as well, but not for the same reasons. i hope that justice is served quickly (like Rhianna's father said), not just so it could be over and not talked about.

Obligation to her man? The minute he hit her, all obligations were canceled. No man ever has the right to be violent with a woman. His career, by all rights, should be over. Best for her to cut him loose so he doesn't drag her down with him.
