After eight years of failed policy, the Republican Party has the Audacity to criticize the new U.S. President for attempting to implement a bold new agenda, one that he and his advisor's believe will jump start the U.S. and maybe even the Global economy.
The last time the United States had a balanced budget, and in fact a surplus, was when a Democrat, Bill Clinton, was President. It used to be that the Republican Party would accuse the Democrats of being the Tax and Spend party. That was until Bill Clinton showed them that Democrats could in fact balance the federal budget and deliver a surplus. George W. Bush and his Republican Regime not only squandered the surplus he inherited from the Clinton administration, but he actually drove the economy into the dismal state that it is in. Why should anyone in their right mind want to listen to the Party of Failure? The republican party is so out of touch with the American people that even many of it's constituents quietly voted for change, ergo, Barrack Obama.
Snap shot of past administration's failed policies:
After the 9/11 attacks, when George W. Bush acquired a bunch of political capital rather than going after the culprits, he let Osama Bin Laden get away and created a lie to justify a war against Saddam Hussein. Could it be that he needed to get the man that had humiliated his daddy? No child left behind. A wonderful concept but due to lack of funding it became a failed concept.
Trickle down policy. The notion that giving tax breaks to the wealthiest would somehow create a benefit for the rest of Americans was a failed concept developed by Ronald Reagan and perpetuated by W's administration. The homeless crises was created as a result of Reagan's trickle down policy. The poor have continued to grow under the Bush administration.
Housing and Wall Street. Greed. This was the mantra of the Bush days. So much so that there were money to burn for everyone on Wall street. Let us not forget the obscene bonuses that even the failed CEO's were getting as they stepped down from their positions due to "Lack of Profits" being generated. Geed let the mortgage bankers and brokers lend money to people that they n=knew were not qualified to get those loans. People were buying into the American Scam, thinking they were getting a piece of the American Dream. When the bottom fell out, no one wanted to accept responsibility. Yet, these big greedy banks cried for a bailout to the American People. Today, the headlines read that AGI is about to give bonuses to 50 of it's top administrators. Go figure, yet the Republican Party decries the administration for wanting to give financial relief "regular" Americans, the "Joe the Plumber's" if you will.
The Audacity of the GOP, the Greedy Ole Party. The 5% of the population, the wealthiest were reaping all the rewards while the 95% of the population were struggling to keep their families afloat. Have they forgotten the lessons of history? One needs just look at the French Revolution to recall what happens when the minority continues to squeeze money out of a suffering populace. They still don't get it. The American people voted for change, they voted for a new President with a new vision. Yet they refuse to believe that they are out of touch. While candidate Obama was using the tools of a new technology, the Republican's continued with the same old tried arguments and they lost.
Foreign Affairs. During the Cheney/Bush administration, the world lost it's faith in America. As a country we had no more "street cred" our credibility was lost. Finally, it is now being restored. Under that same administration, gas prices in America reached levels never before heard of. Yet, they refused to take the lead in developing new technologies, technologies that would generate new types of energy sources. Instead, we were buying oil from the same people we were "at war" with.
Unemployment, loss of homes, lack of food, etc. in this country is at or above the levels that existed during the great depression. All of these conditions were brought about during an eight year rein by the Republican Party. Why will they not support the policies of our new President and his team? Why do they not listen to the American people? When will they learn that there is a new set of rules in politics and that their old way is no longer acceptable? The American people are tired of suffering. They'd, we'd like to see the good ole days, the days when we as a country had a surplus. The days when we as a country were respected around the globe. When we as a country were the envy of all. When people would risk life and limb to get into this country, the land of "milk and honey".
The republicans got one of their wishes; their is no longer an uncontrollable influx of "illegal aliens" rushing across the border to get into this country. As a matter of fact, even citizens are leaving. They are crossing the boarders into Mexico looking for jobs.
Ironic isn't it?

There is nothing "bold" or "new" about Obama's Marxism. If you want to live under a dictator, then go live in one of the lefty "utopias" like Cuba or Venezuela.
Obama has already violated the US Constitution 3 times and he hasn't even finished his first 100 days!

congradulations, I think you managed to hit every cliche, catch phrase, talking point and partisan babble in existence.
Let me state this, any effort to counter anything from me by using the name of the last president or party is useless, I'm not a republican and Bush disgusts me as does the republican party. Why, because of the blatent constitutional usurptions he and the lst congress pulled. Besides, can Obama supporters not defend policy or action based soly on the merrits of that policy or action?
This is my issue with the current congress and president. We still have many of the same polcies continuing and even more blatent attempts at constutional blasphemy happening. We didn't change a thing. Except the name on a desk plate.

You've said this very well that I cannot even add to it, though I'm sure I could find old Jon Stewart shows that would say what you've just said lol. I'm not sure I understand why it is that each time we get a new President that people loose all senses and go around screaming about how bad he is. In this case, they didn't even give him the first 100 days.
Hopefully we'll start to see our enonomy bounce back soon. Though, I'm worried about what he's doing regarding Vets.
