It is still 2001 in Ethiopia whereas people celebrate 2009

Have you heard about the age gap between Ethiopia and other countries, well they say it 8 year gap between them and us, seems like they live in their own world of circus, is this true or am i dreaming?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethiopian_calendar

Seven to eight years? Wow, that is a big gap. Well, I guess that the calendar started differently, because they used the Egyptian based calendar, unlike the calendar we use.
