Very clever question I should say and an admirable attitude. I guess nowadays people study both to get knowledge and eventually to earn money. It's prerequisite that we need because without proper education it is almost impossible to get a good paying job.

Ok, I believe that you are studying for knowledge, but realistically, isn't to better yourself? Isn't it so that you can feel you understand the world better, so that you feel you have more control? I think the old line "make the world a better place" is a little cliche now, and it's not always good to try to be completely selfless. You have to grab a hold on what you want from life.

Hi there,
Similar to you, I am studying because I want to gain some knowledge on science and technology. However, I am also being realistic that I will use my knowledge to earn money for living, especially to get the jobs. I want to get the job that requires the knowledge I gained.

It is hard to say . I think my motive is for both . That is difficult to distinguish them . Lots of people study then use their knowledges for making money . I think this is why my country can't get stronger rapidly and have hurge invention in the world . they didn't use knowledge they studied on nation-building but making money .....

Great question :). I'm studying to gain knowledge and understanding, in order to then impact positively on the world. I think a lot of people only study for money, which is a real shame because they're then not really benefitting from learning as many of us do. Unfortunately, though, money does get you places in this world in modern times, so a good education may lead to money which may lead to being able to help people or change things. I think the most importance thing is to make sure you're a good, generous person, whatever your motivations may be.

I am studying for the knowledge, but after I obtain my degree I do hope to find a job that will earn me enough to better my life so that we are not struggling as much.
