I got my cable back on about a month ago and they gave me this DVR box instead of a normal box. I didn't use it for weeks and when I finally did, I think I am now addicted. I now watch daytime shows at night, nighttime shows the following day, and find myself recording things that I know will come on twenty more times before the newest episode comes on..lol..I think I might have a problem..is anybody else addicted to their DVR?

Hello, my name is Lisa and yes, I too am addicted to my DVR. This is just a great contraption. My favorite trick is what on my DVR is called the "season pass". This allows me to tape episodes of my favorite show for the season without have to think about it. You can choose to record it every time it's on or just the first time an episode is aired(no re-runs).
I have also picked out a couple shows that air a couple times every day to record that I don't regularly watch, but it's cool to have them on in case there's nothing on tv that I want to watch and on the slight chance that I have actually watched everything that I wanted to record(very rarely happens).
Then there is my keyword selection. Like say you are interested in Hawaii. You can program the DVR with the keyword Hawaii and it'll go through the program listings and record show that are about hawaii.
Like I said, I love my DVR!
