You may have a pinched nerve in your neck, or even a disc bulging a bit. If it is making you dizzy, you really should go to your doctor as soon as you can. In the meantime, you may want to take an anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or Aleve. I find that applying heat to my neck and back helps a little too, along with making sure I sleep with proper body alignment. If you can, why not take a neck supporting pillow to work with you? It may help to have a little extra support while sitting at your desk.

The best advise is to go to see a doctor. Maybe you need some physical examinations. And a comfortable bed is necessary. The bed shouldnt' be very soft. And you should pay attention to you sleeping pose.

I'd recommend you get some professional advice about this problem of yours-Talk to an Osteopath,or Talk to your Doctor-Mylot's not paying us cents per post to come up with solutions for spinal problems! It could be age related, disease related, accident related, the way you sit at your desk..think back to when and how you first noticed the ache or discomfort you freel..good luck with a cure!

As a doctor I may tell you that this could be due to cervical spondylosis. Do stretching (backwards) exercises for the neck, you'll feel better.

Oh,my dear friend. In the past,I have the same trouble. But now it get better.I think you should move your neck as usually as possible, and have a rest after one hour's work at the desk.If it doesn't take effect, you'd better go to see a doctor.
