Is it possible I can upload pictures on the computer that were taken from a regular camera? What about pictures that were taken a long time ago? Or one taken from Olan Mills? I've seen several really old ones on ancestry.com. I'm new to uploading pictures and I don't know how to do this. When I learn, I will post one of myself on mylot. I have a mini digital camera but I'm not sure if I know how to use it. I tried taking pictures with it but you can't tell what they are. I read the instructions and everything but I'm still not sure if I'm doing it right.

you can do all of it my friend. if you have a scanner, scan your pictures then save them to your computer so that you may be able to upload it on the blogs, sites that you wish your pictures to be there. or you can picture your old pictures again by your nwe digicam and then its better and a more faster way to upload the desired pics you wanted to be uploaded. thanks friend.

Thank you. I still haven't tried to upload a picture yet but I will one of these days when I have time. I'll have to come back and review all of the responses from the different mylotters. I think my printer does have a scanner on it but I'm not sure. It should since it's a new one. Kathy.

Yes, you can upload your photo from your regular camera also.
Just take one photo which you liked most and take scan from scanner machine.
If you not have scaneer machine you can go at cyber where scaner machine is surely there. Just scan you photo and save it floppy or CD. That CD you download at your PC and save it. Or Directly you upload your photo from CD or computer and upload it at site for example at MYLOT.

Yeah, you need a scanner for the older photos, most printers are 3 in 1's now a days scanners built right in. Works good. You can also get printers that you can plug any media right into and print it off, like memory cards, and USB cables I mean. Which by the way, is how you upload the pictures of you digital camera onto your computer, it came with a little cord, and one end looks like a rectangle, and the other an irregular parallelogram, the Rectangle goes in to a USB port on your computer, symbolized by a branching arrow, it only fits in one way. and the other side into your camera, then turn on your camera and wait, or open the software that came with your camer and choose upload. Best of luck. and have fun with it.

Hi Cyrus,
We can upload the images which we taken from regular camera... But we have to print those images and then scan by using scanner.. then they will upload to our system.. another thing you asked that abot digital camera... my suggestion is do one thing first take images from digital camera and in the camera you have one port where you can put MEMORY Card... now remove your memory card and before removing you have to buy a card like device called CARD WRITER place you memory card in the CARD WRITER and connect to the computer now you can easily upload to the system coz it will act as like Pendrive
Thanks
RK
