I put savings in my bank account, my bank account with my wife, and our son's bank account. I also put savings for the future like pension plans, education plans, and others just to make sure that in case of emergency I will not run out of money. I save more for health, our son's education and other important things. That is a good thing that my wife and I do, save for the future. She taught me that, I was not like this before. I used to spend my money for food and shopping. Good thing that I found her and now, I can buy more than I want but what I need. I learned as well to give more to my family and invest my money for good instead of spending it for nonsense things.

save money - saving is a good practice
Hi there marquis!I do have a couple of bank accounts. I put money regularly in these accounts. I find it a good practice as I am able to keep money and prepare for whatever. I am glad that I have given up my credit card about two years ago. It helped me increase my savings and I am so proud about such achievement.

Yes I do save money in the bank. I also had an account for our family. It is really important to save for the future considering that you will never know what will happen. I have not invested on educational plans since I noticed that placing your money in a time deposit would give me more yield than placing it on educational plans. Moreover I have a phobia on this since there was once a big educational plan company that closed here in our country and the planholders have difficulty collecting their investment. I have decided that it would be better to place the money on a stable bank and gain interest rather than place it on educational plans.

Yes. My husband and I have a savings account and are planning to open one for our daughter as well. One tip I have for everyone who have a savings account: unless it's really for an emergency, do not withdraw money from your savings account.

Yes, I do save money in the bank. I have TD (time Deposit) as trust fund for my son. I want the little amount of money I deposited grows to 1 million and give it to my son as a gift on his 21st birthday. That's 20yrs from now. That's the power of compound interest which I am taking advantage of. I just hope that the bank will not close.

I tried to open an account for me to save on my car, and the bank I wanted, a minority owned bank and all, turned me down flat. Well if that didn't teach me to not patronize them, that did. but all isn't lost, I plan to reopen another account I have and put it there. And save consistently.

Hey there! Yes, I do save money in the bank. I have a two bank accounts one for saving and one for receiving my earnings. The latter I also use for my online transactions since I don't have any credit card to use for spending. I use it to add funds on my pay pal account. It is good to save for the future and even for the present. What if you need big sum of money? You have something to hand out. Before when I was still in college my parents give us money that we need, even we want, I don't give much value to it. I spend, to wherever it would take me, on almost everthing that I like. Now that I am working I realize how important it is. I don't spend on things that I don't really need. If there's something that I want I'd thought "Oh, well that could wait". Have a nice day. Happy posting!!

Yes, marquis, we have a little money saved in the bank, too. I have had a savings account in my name opened for me by my parents ever since I was in grade school. My parents showed us, even at an early age, the importance of having some money saved up in the bank. I opened my own savings account, as soon as I was old enough to open my own account and yes, even while the only money that I put in were my meager savings from my school allowance. I believe that there will always be a good return if we save up for the future.

Of course! I only spend what I have to and what I need, then the rest is in the bank through a direct deposit from my work. But I don't have an actually savings account-I could if I chose to put money in there-but I just save it all in my checking account for now.

I have a savings account since the old school days when I was just in primary school. To date, the same savings account is still alive. Living in poverty have helped me to appreciate the importance of savings, no matter how little it is.

Yes, I save. I have done this all my life. My parents encouraged me to do so since being a small child. Even if I have been on a small wage, I have still put something of it away and in my mind, pretended I did not have it in the first place. Then one day, I would look at my bank book and have a pleasant surprise.. - - Derek

I make sure I put my full salary in the bank. Then whenever I need the cash I withdraw the money. That way there is tendency to spend lesser money. And I can do most of my shopping through my ATM card. And in the bargain avoid spending for unwanted things.

Thats great! Good that you were able to manage your money wisely. We also have a savings account but with very small amount in it. Our income is just enough for the family's need.
