Who has a child learn to play the piano?

I have a son nearly six years old, he learned to play piano for almost half a year. There is a class half an hour once a week. I stay with him to play piano every day. I don't know if he really like this, but he do the exercises every day. I think this music instruments could develope the child's brain, make him intelligent. Do you think so? If you have the child and learning it now, would you like to share with me?

I have a son learned to play piano for more than six month. Every day my wife and me accompany him to play piano in turn. That's a laborious thing i think, it need parents be patient, be insistence to do every day exercises. I think this course is good for the children, so we must insistent to do.
