If you have followed my earlier discussion about the non-receipt of some official communication from the manager, you would know that he is not doing anything. Last Friday during end of day, he came online on Office Chat. I asked him when he will send the communication or when he will sign off my promotion application which is beyond due date. He assured me he will do it the same date or on weekends. I was happy thinking he will do as assured. But alas! Today when I checked my mails, he did nothing! He has taken no action at all. I think it is beyond expectation. I also let this know to his manager. But she just defended him!. Now it is totally uncertain whether I will get them.

Actually, this situation is very common to all lower level of organization. Honestly some managers thinks that if they will sign a promotion letter to thier employees they would think and feel insecure because they think that the promoted employee they will have a higher rank than they are, so sometimes they don't want to sign such promotion like these.. But don't get disappointed for that matter because time will prove that you really deserved to be promoted in such a position. Wish you lUck. God Bless.

I think your manager is really unfair.. Managers shouldn't act like that. You should repor your manager to your HR department. I think by reporting to the HR they will do some actions regarding to your problem...

I thought you wanted to leave that place, you are obviously not happy there, and you cannot trust the people you are working for. So what are your plans now?

Well; such things do happen . Sometimes, a person has genuine reason in being very busy and facing a large number of high-Level issues. Otherwise,a person my also be plain careless in certain things . It is best for you to keep on reminding him . However,if it goes too long , you can try to escalate it to an even higher level . Have a great day ahead .

hi subha, if this is a 'common' case for most of you in your department, i think you could bring it up with the Personnel or HR Department.. if your boss is practicing an 'unfair' treatment among his staff, he should be reported.. and since his boss doesnt seem to be bothered about his ways, i think you can take the matter up with your HR Dept... better if you have some other members to collabrate your complaints against him.. and if you have a 'worker's representative' (or union).. all the better.. take the matter up with them..

well, on my current job, the boss has already lied a lot of times 1. he lied about firing people when in fact, they resigned 2. he lied about filing a case against those who resigned or got terminated when in fact it was the other way around, those people filed a case against him. 3.he said the company is a partner of these and that when in fact there are really no final agreements yet that those are really partners, 4. they are not remitting properly the social security contribution of the eployees. so it should not be shocking if a lot of people wanted to resign from that company if we have the chance
