My cat named Cutie would sit on my old tv to get warm but tried to sit on my flat screen and the flat screen fell on the floor. Luckily my flat screen still works.
The same thing happened when I got a flat screen monitor for my pc. Funny on how dumb
my cat is but i'm glad my flat screens ok and yeah the cats fine. The flat screen was new and i could not return it if i wanted to because i got it from circuit city which went out of business.

Your cat is not dumb, his eyes just don't work the same way yours do. He really could not see the difference. If you get down on the floor or where ever he jumped from you will see that the depth is not oblivious. Your cat is a hunter tuned into movement and still objects don't cause him enough concern to make a full study of them. Let's face it you and i don't live like cats and certainly don't think like them. Glad nothing was broken.

That's too funny! That sounds exactly like something that our old cat would've done! He always had to lay on the old tv to keep warm, but it had kind of a downward slope on the back, so he would fall asleep and slide off the back of the tv. He also used to try to jump on top of the washing machine, and sometimes it was open and he would fall in. Every time we heard some sort of crash, we knew it was the cat! Anyway, I'm glad your tv and computer were both ok...and of course the cat!

Cats and small dogs do things like that, My cat flipped over my laptop a few times thinking it was my old tube monitor and keyboard computer. Now he's learned not to do that. Unfortunately if I leave the laptop open while I get up to go to the bathroom. he'll come in and lay on the keyboard to keep warm. AARRGGHH!!

Wow I am glad your TV and monitor are still OK. My cats do not lay on our TV nor our monitors. They do take over our king size bed, Abagail has a fight every night over my hubbies end of the bed. Now it is a king size bed and lots of room for her to lay but she thinks she has to lay at the end of the bed where daddy has to put his feet. Now my hubby is not flexible and cannot move very well so he cannot give up his end of the bed.

Your cat is very funny and very naughty.. She can damage all of your appliances in the house if she keep on doing those thing.. Maybe, buy her something that can make her feel warm so that she won't sit any of your appliances.. I don't have a cat at home or any pet but in our province I have 2 dogs who are very naughty also.. They love laying down in my bed and in our sofa.. When they are hungry or feel hot, they used to open our ref and get something in there to eat or just too feel cold.. Sometimes, my mother put them outside the house as their punishment.. The funny thing is they will make a very sweet faces so that my mother won't get mad at them..

That's one of the reasons I would never shop Circuit City. I can't think of a company more deserving of going out of business than they were. Unfortunately, they took a lot of "The Source" stores with them here in Canada since they were loosely associated.

I guess your cat will have to find some other way to get warm.
