How to Deal with Stress at job or workplace, how do you deal with it? Have you tried something yet? I'm no stranger to a stressful working environment - deadlines and demanding clients will do that to you. But then I know that there are more stressful jobs out there - like those involving millions of dollars or running a country. Sometimes I feel anxious, irritable, or depressed, Muscle tension orheadaches etc. due to excess job load and workplace working timings. The only worse thing i can do to reduce this is start smoking or drinking?? Pls tell me some ways to reduce stree at work and how do you guys manage it. Lol

we make our own stress. so, you have the power to lessen it. first, you should take inventory of yourself. try to acknowledge your strength and weaknesses then focus on your strength and do something about your weaknesses e.g. if let us say you type faster than your peers , do it first and if you see that you tend to forget a lot of things then start writing things down on your notebook. use your computer to organize your folders. so , it would be easier for you to search for things you need. you have to understand that you cannnot finish everything at one blow or in one day. try to organize your professional life, set you next week on the last day of the week so when you go to work on the first day of the week , you already know what to do. do not cram or put all the work in one day, leave time for you to breath and relax everyday and this would make it easier to accomodate auxially work within the day. lessen all the unecessary work, if you were asked by your boss to make some errands for you, ask your utility person to do it. work is never done. relax. do your inhale - exhale exercises.

I used to have a really stressful meeting on a Monday evening. If I cycled home afterwards I felt all the stress disappear. I arrived home feeling refreshed and happy to begin marking and planning for the next day. I think that writing a list of all the tasks I have to do helps me. It feels a bit better when I cross off one of these tasks and move on to the next topic. If I feel really stressed I take a deep breath and count inside my head to ten. It can help to get a little fresh air. Twice I had headaches to I took some time out at lunch time to recover, on the field next to the school and on a PE mat in the school library. If I feel depressed about a job I make sure I have a lovely day out on a Saturday. I can take a warm bath, listen to music, read travel books and chat to friends. I hope that you will soon get less stressed in the near future in your job. Good luck.
